Product Description

The chest pad is constructed with thinner ultra high-density foam segments that cover carbon fiber plates to reduce weight and increase protection.  Additionally, layers of Kevlar ballistic material with both protective and cushioning foams are inside the core of the chest pad to reduce impact penetration.  A large sternum plate made of foam and carbon fiber inserts provides a sturdy second layer of protection in this highly sensitive area.  The sides of the chest pad have been extended to provide better wrap around coverage, and a segmented belly flap allows the goalie to bend forward easily in their stance. The arms are constructed using a dimensional mesh for breathability and flexibility, and they are made using water cooled HD foam molded caps, which have been extended to increase the coverage area.  A slightly thicker layer of ultra high-density foam components have been added to the bicep area for 2016, and the elbow features the same foam plus a four-point adjustment system for a precise fit.
